Welcome to Miami
a travel guide
Oh Miami, where do i begin? it definitely has its own funk and flavor from a melting pot of latin culture. Its home to Cubans, Puerto ricans, Dominicans, pastel perfect art deco architecture, & party people lined in and out of the beaches. pro tip: if you don’t speak Spanish, you are the Miami minority.
Art Basel takes place here early December and the city turns into a confetti of art, vip parties, with sun-kissed figures dressed in a sort of tropi-cool style. If you visit, feel confident wearing bold colors or fun prints mixed with classic whites.
‘The Birdcage’ is a must watch before you go! this cult film favorite of mine & transports me back to early 90’s miami from the comfort of my couch. starring the late Robin Williams’ this movie showcases peak Miami style. you can also turn it into a drinking game if you’re feeling saucy, read this blog post for further instruction!
